My Top Priorities

Here are my top five prorities to you, the people of Lothingland.

1

Stop the proposed housing development on Links Road
Stop the building of more houses on agricultural land on Links Road, adjoining Hopton. Infrastructure must come first on all housebuilding projects, this however is the wrong site for countless reasons.

2

Bluebell Meadow, Bradwell – unfair estate fees
Robustly scrutinise the service fees on Bluebell Meadow housing estate in Bradwell to ensure residents are getting value for money. These fees are already unfair as other residents across Great Yarmouth obtain these services via their Council Tax.

3

Congestion along Beccles Road / Primrose Way
Tackle the daily congestion at Primrose Way / Beccles Road junction during the school run by commissioning a professional traffic study and implementing the recommended solution.

4

Safety barriers on A47 to Hopton
Lobby for crash barriers along A47 between Links Road and Hopton to provide a safe, shielded route for schoolchildren, cyclists and pedestrians who regularly take this route.

5

Prioritise infrastructure before further housebuilding
Bradwell, Caister, Hopton and Great Yarmouth as a whole has been subject to mass housebuilding. This has imposed huge demand on services and road systems, causing significant delays in GP and dentist appointments and congestion on roads.

I would prioritise all infrastructure to enable a catch up approach to ensure the infrastructure supply meets the demands its now under as a result of mass housebuilding.

Infrastructure must come first on all housebuilding projects.
